UREA-TREATED FEED BOOST

INCLUDING PROCESSED, urea-treated whole-crop wheat as a quarter of the forage dry matter fed will increase dairy cow intake, milk yield and milk protein, compared with feeding grass alone.

Alison Bond of Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, told delegates that inclusion at above that rate would provide little benefit on milk yield compared with grass silage alone.
