Four month calf heads Black and Whites at 23,500gns

The four-month-old Holstein heifer calf Lillyhall Windbrook Trilly topped the bidding at 23,500gns at the Black and White sale at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.

Consigned by Ruth Watson from Cockermouth, Cumbria, Trilly is out of Go-Farm Trilly who is by England-Ammon Million. She has a PLI+£104 and PIN+£29. Buyers were I and E Hughes, Cardigan, south Wales.

Sahara Numero Uno Jessica, another August-born heifer calf, made 14,000gns (above left) for owners Sahara Holsteins, Monmouthshire. She is out of Hood ATM Jessica and has a PLI+£169 and PIN+£28 and goes in a three-way split to Logan Holsteins, Anna Holsteins and Overside Holsteins. 

Cumbria vendor T N Lawrence, Grange-over-Sands sold the year-old Lynholme Gold Wishes at 10,000gns (above) to the Berryholme herd based at Kendal. By Goldwyn and out of Raeland Leduc Wilhelmina, she has a PLI+£133 and PIN+£24.

Sahara Numero Uno Jane – full sister to Jessica – made 9500gns (above) to M A Jeanes Farms, Somerset.
