Global sale reaches 4500gns at Carlisle

 

Paragon Pedigree Herds from Hexham, Northumberland earned the night’s highest bid of 4500gns for a red and white Holstein heifer – the only UK daughter of top winning German cow Charity – at the Global Classic evening sale at Carlisle.

 

Redsky Fidelity Cherry Red, an October 2011-bred heifer by Delta Fidelity, is a full sister to Redsky Challenger Red. She goes to Macnairston Farm, Ayr, Ayrshire.

 

Motherwell breeders D and J Gray and D Yates consigned the Holstein Meiklefirth DG Gold Chip Rosie – a May 2012-bred heifer by Mr Chassity Gold Chip and out of Drointon Million Rosie that made 13,000gns at the 2010 Black and White sale. She made 4000gns to B G Yates, Castle Douglas.

 

Brown Swiss Genetics based at Dumfries earned 4000gns for Inspired Glenn Destiny, a September 2011-bred heifer by Schamaun BS Gord Glenn and out of Hilltop Acres Z Divinity. Buyer was I Broomfield, Co Armagh.

 

Also at 4000gns was New Abbey Shamrock Pledge, a May 2012-bred Holstein heifer from A and A Bunting, Dumfries. Out of Holmland Man O Polly, she heads to North Yorkshire with buyers G and L Spence, Lowfield Farm.
