Dairy Event 2010: Farm Health Planning Awards announced

Winners of the RABDF Farm Health Planning Award, open to students from vet schools and agricultural colleges, have been announced.

Scooping the vet student award was The Royal Dick School’s Stacey Douglas.

Winner of the award from agricultural colleges was Tom Percy (pictured), Duchy College. A farmer himself, Tom discussed the two barriers to farm health planning – time and money. He has since looked at FHP strategies for his family farm of 120 cows in Dorset.
