Temporary Control Zones in Hampshire lifted

DEFRA have lifted the two Temporary Control Zones in the Hampshire area, following negative test results for foot and mouth disease.

The premises, one on the Hampshire/West Sussex border near Petersfield and one near West Tytherley on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border, have both tested negative for the disease. 

This is following the confirmation of a seventh case of foot and mouth disease, confrimed yesterdat as a farm near Englefield Green in Surrey, within the existing Egham protection zone.
