Issues surrounding intensively-reared pigs will, yet again, come under the spotlight, when it gets addressed parliament later this month.

A film, Pig Business by Tracy Worcester, which looks at intensive pig farming worldwide, will be addressed at a conference called ‘Pig Business; Time for Change’, taking place in the House of Commons on 27 January.

Shorts clips from the film will be shown, which focuses particularly on rearing conditions in Poland and the effects of intensive systems on the environment and surrounding communities, as well as the influence of Smithfield Foods of America in Poland.
