Hereford bull sells to France for £4,000
Gerald Blandford and Son of Bosa Herefords, recent winners of the National Herd of the Year, have sold eighteen month old Bosa 1 Hurst to Guillaume Deslandes, Meneac, France for £4,000.
Hurst by reserve sire of the year, Velleyhill 1 Ho Boy, was First in his class at the Three Counties Show earlier this year and has exceptional EBV’s with a Terminal Sire Index of +37 and a Self Replacing Index of +44, both being in the Top 1% for the Breed. He departed for France at the start of the week.
There has been strong interest in France for the Hereford Breed during the past 12 months, including in the meat sector, with major retailer Metro re-launching its Hereford Vintage Beef range.
