Holsworthy dairy trade hot at £2835

More than 200 buyers packed Holsworthy market yesterday for the dispersal of the Daniel family’s Danland herd of Holsteins which saw trade peak at £2835.

Taking this top call was February calved Danland Joyce 104. By Picston Shottle she was bought by Graham and Lloyd Duke, Boyton, Cornwall.

Buyers from all over the south west generated a huge buzz around the sale ring for what auctioneer Mark Bromell of Kivells described as one of the finest herds of dairy stock ever sold at Holsworthy.

Averages; heifers £2327, cows £1830.
