Irish Angus calf show impresses German judge

German judge Johnannes Hibbeln declared himself incredibly impressed with the standard at the Irish Aberdeen-Angus calf show at Mountrath last weekend.

Leading the way in the males was a young bull from Michael and Martin Sheahan, Kilmallock, Co Limerick. This was September 2008-born Luddenmore Raven Eric, a Darlene Cruz son out of Aynho Roasa Erica, a Belvin Kincaid daughter.

Male champion Luddenmore Raven Eric.jpgReserve male was Cloghogue Future from Edmund O’Carroll, Co Sligo. He’s by Coneyisland Legend.

Taking the female honours was December 2008-born Aughnamona Phyllis from Geraldine Shanley and Donal Spring. This is by Balmachie Ranni and out of Aughnamona Phyllis, a Coldstream Genetic Trend daughter.
