Maerdy Charolais draft comes under the hammer

Esmor Evans’ draft from his Maerdy herd has been drawing bids from the packed ringside, with his first entry, Maerdy Awell, heading back home with Messrs Thompson at a final bid of 2100gns.

Two lots later and Maerdy Adorn, a stylish heifer with plenty of growth, took the same bid when selling to Mr Niven who also bought earlier the afternoon – whether its a new herd or merely an expansion of an existing herd I’m not sure.

And 2000gns seems an increasingly popular call for these Maerdy heifers with the next one through, Maerdy Adverse making the same money. This one is by Maerdy USA and out of Maerdy Teresa.
