Milk lambs hit £91.50 at Exeter Easter show

Milk lambs met  a firm demand at Exeter yesterday when the market held its annual Easter show and sale.

Topping the show and the subsequent sale were a pair of Charollais sired lambs from Kings Nympton-based Carol Irwin at 44kg and £91.50.

Next best call of £90 came for a pair from the class for Other Continental sires, which tipped the scales at 42.4kg.

In the class for Suffolk sired lambs the red ticket and top price went to A Slater, Broadclyst, Exeter with a brace of £41kg lambs at £88.
