More British Blue bull results from Carlisle

Continuing the run of senior Blue bull judging in Carlisle, Ron Barker won the fourth class with Stockmerle Doug (lot 22), a February 2008-born son of Seduisant De Fooz out of the Kelowna Rocky daughter Stockmerle Anastacia, while second went to the Maudsley family with Littlebank David (lot 29) which is by Gitan out of the Bringlee Sandy daughter Bringlee Tandy.

The fifth class was won by Alan Cleland with the black bull Ballee Derek (lot 35), a Black du Baty D’eprave march 2008-born son out of Ballee Angel. Second here was Jim Sloan with Ballygrange Dudley (lot 38), a Twyning Ash Vaughan son out of Ballygrange Roxy.

Winner of class six was Dragon Blues David (lot 50) from GW and K williams. This April 2008-born bull is by Dafydd and is out of the Freshman daughter Hazelwood Petal. with a carcass weight of 22 and a breeding index of 22 he has figures to match his correctness as well (spies are liking this one today!). David has been shown three times, picking up three firsts and has also been used on a flushing programme with calves due in July. Taking second here was the Hartley family with Pendle DJ, a son of Blue Stone Union Jack out of the Stowbeck Storm daughter Pendle Whizzy.

Taking home the red rosette in class seven was richard Mowbray with Droit Denver 9lot 62), a Gitan son out of the Visconti daughter Annanwater Verona, while the second prize went to a bull we picked out in the preview Tamhorn Dynamite (lot 57) from Danny and Jane Wyllie. By Ballygrange Alex, he is out of the norbreck Kitty daughter Tamhorn Winifred. He has a carcass yeild of 15 and carcass weight figure of 22.

Winning the next class and last of the seniors was A and CS Comrie with Stonebyres Duke, a Dafydd son out of the Baron daughter Inveresk Alice. This April 2008 born blue and white bull has a carcass weight figure of 22 and a pedigree breeding index of 15. Standing second was the Whitely and courts partnership with Franks Dallaglio (lot 72), a son of Raciste out of Blue chip Tartan.
