More cattle results from Royal Welsh Winter Fair

Judging continues apace in the cattle section here at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair, with classes for British Blue and Limousin Sired heifers coming under Stuart Clatworthy’s eyes following the Charolais class earlier.

In the first of the British Blue sired classes it was Tecwyn Jones who took first place with hsi heifer Black Beauty, a regular on the show circuit, this one weighed in at 588kg today and beat off the challenge from Tudur Edwards’ Miss Wales, a 534kg entry. Third place here went to Andrew and Christopher Owens with Crazy Chick at 516kg.

In the second of the British Blue classes it was another of this season’s regular show winners which took top spot as Phil and Sharon Sellers collected their second red ticket of the day with Limited Edition. Today she weighed 608kg. Second place in this line up went to John Owen with 654kg heifer also named Black Beauty. Third was the Cheacker Family with Hattie.

In the Limousin sired classes the first red ticket went to T C Edwards with 536kg Princess, while second spot was claimed by Tudur Edwards with 518kg Duffy. Third place was the Williams Family with 502kg Modlen.

The second of the Limousin classes went to Berwyn Hughes with 556kg Lady in Red, second was D Thomas with Sienna a 542kg entry, third place went to Emily Jones with Roxy Rose at 544kg.
