Muiresk Texel dispersal selling well
This afternoon’s dispersal sale of the Muiresk flock of Texels has made a strong start with some the breed’s best bloodlines attracting very strong bidding from all corners of the ring.
Leadin the way so far is a 6000gns call for a Tophill Joe daughter which is dam to Muiresk Nearco, stcok tup at Glenside. This one sold to Haywards Heath-based Trinidad Investments.
At 3800gns was a Craighead Hercules daughter out of a dam by Muiresk Heir Apparent, she goes back to one of the flock’s foundation ewes, a Boghouse ewe.
Next best so far is a brace of 3400gns sales, the first of which was for a Glenside Lieutenant daughter out of a Craighead Hercules sired dam. This sold to Stephen Cobbold, Acton Hall, Suffolk. The second at this level was a Tophill Joe daughter out of a Loosebeare Imp sired dam.
At 3200gns was a Cowal Maverick daughter out of a Hercules sired dam. This one’s dam’s full Et sister sold for 10,000gns to Cairness and Glenho.
Then at 2500gns was a Hercules daughter out of a dam by Wartle Goliath and at 2200gns was another Hercules daughter out of a Glenside Gurka sired dam.
