Naughty but Nice scoops Balmoral Sheep Inter Breed

The winner of the Sheep Inter-Breed title at this year’s Balmoral Show was the two-year-old Charollais ewe – Naughty but Nice – owned by Diane Christie,  from Comber in Co Down. Bred by George and Jason Booth from Co Tyrone, she is sired by Tullyear Krackerjack and is out of a Parkgate Hunter ewe. She was second in her shearling class at Balmoral 2014. The ewe was successfully bred to Lornbrook Nutcracker last autumn, the 2014 Highland Show Charollais.

The Inter-Breed Reserve went to Co Down flockowner David Mawhinney with his three shear Border Leicester ewe. She was purchased at the Eildon flock dispersal sale in Lanark last September. Sired by Kinninmonth Kentucky,  the ewe gave birth to triplet ET lambs sited by Eildon Everest  earlier this year.
