Not so Goldfinger: The man who stank for half a decade
A strange piece of research has cropped up in the medical journal The Lancet and has peaked the attention of the FF and media elsewhere.
Apparently a Welsh poultry worker sliced his hand on a chicken bone and despite the wound healing his finger, hand and arm continued to smell.
No antibiotic treatment could cure it. No UV light treatment could stop the smell. Nothing in the field of modern medicine could halt the stench.
The team of doctors who worked with him published a research paper on the phenomenon to try and enlist help to cure the affliction.
But after five years, as mysteriously as it started smelling, the stench stopped.
