Indian poultry giant to expand into the UK

The Indian poultry giant Venkateshwara Hatcheries Group, known as Venky’s, has announced it will be expanding into 25 new markets outside of India, including the UK.
Health and hygiene services and feed will be some of the areas Venky’s will operate in. It will also be bringing its fast-food outlets chain, Venky’s XPRS, to the UK.
London will be the first city in the UK to see a Venky’s on its streets. The first Venky’s store opened in the company’s home city of Pune in February 2010.
Venky’s is known for its purchase of Blackburn Rovers football club and its use of players from the team in advertisements for their products in India.
