Moy Park appoints David Gibson as director of agriculture

Moy Park has appointed David Gibson as director of agriculture.

Mr Gibson has been with Moy Park for 26 years and has extensive expertise within the agriculture industry. He will be responsible for the whole of the Agriculture Division across both Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Based at Moy Park’s Dungannon site, he will work closely with the senior team, reporting to agri and fresh poultry director James French. He will support Moy Park’s 800 poultry farmers across the UK.

As a trainee manager in the mid-1980s Mr Gibson was involved in the push for free-range chickens. Since then, he has held positions in hatchery management as well as in Moy Park’s grandparent breeding division.

More recently, as general manager for agriculture Northern Ireland, he was responsible for all of Moy Park’s agriculture activities from the grandparent scheme right through to the broilers that are delivered to the factory.
