Poultry World has a new reporter, agricultural journalist Rhian Price, who has joined the magazine after passing her Postgraduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism at Cardiff University last summer.
Since then, Rhian has been working as a freelance journalist, including writing for Farmers Weekly and her local newspaper, the Abergavenny Chronicle. She also spent time at Farmers Weekly and Poultry World as part of the John Deere/Guild of Agricultural Journalists training award and has worked as a PR assistant for WorldWide Sires UK.
She has a solid background in agriculture, having been brought up on a dairy, turned beef and sheep farm in South Wales, and having been an active member of Young Farmers.
“Although I’m very much familiar with the farming industry, the poultry sector is a completely new concept for me. However, I am really looking forward to the challenge of working in such a dynamic and exciting industry,” she said. “I look forward to meeting as many individuals and businesses within the industry at forthcoming events.”
