NSF-CMi appoints new poultry manager

Heather Rose has joined NSF-CMi Certification as poultry technical manager, providing technical and quality support for the Lion Code, Red Tractor Assurance (RTA), Poultry and the Environment Agency (EA), Integrated Pollution and Control (IPPC) schemes.
The news comes just weeks after BEIC appointed NSF-CMi as its new independent auditors for the Lion Code of Practice.
Heather is experienced in the commercial egg industry, with a practical background in quality assurance and welfare management, having also worked as an assessor at a farm, packing centre and processor level in the UK and Europe.
Part of her role at NSF-CMi will be supporting the assessment teams in the field, as well as to liaise with customers on technical issues.
“Following the appointment of NSF-CMi Certification to run the BEIC Lion Code Scheme, we are delighted to have someone with Heather’s experience to manage this prestigious scheme,” said Roy Boreham, poultry schemes’ manager.
“NSF-CMi is very well placed now to provide combined assessments, thereby saving producers time and money and reducing biosecurity risk,” he added.
