The FS 200 is a mechanised bedding dispenser for spreading litter quickly and efficiently in broiler houses. By using the machine to distribute a variety of bedding materials farmers have reported a lower use of material, reduced instances of hock burn and a reduction in the turnaround time between flocks. AG Engineering reports one machine can bed a poultry house in 30 minutes with one operator, as opposed to three hours conventionally with three workers.

Aimed at small producers, the modular meat processing unit allows farmers to prepare birds while still at the farm on a small, but cost-effective, scale. This lets producers take advantage of having a farm shop, or supply prepared birds when a local event or a market is held in their area. Designed to work in conjunction with Truffigo Rapidex’s AVItouch poultry house computer control system, the AWP Scale PACK weighing system has a 50kg sensor with a 60cm non-skid plate and is adjustable in height. Data from the scales is then fed through to the AVItouch, recording average weight, the number of birds weighed, objective weights, average daily gain, homogeneity, coefficient of variation, and standard deviation.
