Red Ladies Derby sale gets underway
Selling is underway at Carlisle for the Red LadiesDerby. The first lot in the ring Littlewood Firefly (Lot 1) from Messrs Barlow sold for3,000gns. Born in March-2010 she is sire by Fieldson Alfy, she is out ofMillbrow Star and sells having been AI’d to Ampertaine Commander in June.
Selling at the same price was John Logan’s Homebyres Fuschia (Lot 6), sired by Homebyres Vanhee and out of Homebyres Sage. She sells in calf to Homebyres Arnott, with a beef value of +33.
Next and selling for 8,500gns was Nebo Favourite (Lot 8), from M L Thomas. This Willodge Vantastic daughter is out of Nebo Caryl and is in calf to Ampertaine Commander, with a beef value of +40.
The hammer fell at 5,200gns for Kaprico Fleur (Lot 9), from A K and C Stafford. Sired by Ionesco she is out of Kaprico Ultimate and is within the top 1% beef value at +44.
Selling for 4,000gns was Millington Freesia (Lot 19), from Millington Grange Estate. This Millington Defender daughter is out of Millington Viola and was AI’d to Sympa in September.
Making 4,100gns was another lot from Millington Grange Estate. Towthorpe Geisha (Lot 23) is sired by Greensons Dollar and is out of Towthorpe Desiree, with a beef value of +40.
Another one around the 4,000gns mark was Frewstown Gold, which sold for 4,500gns. Sired by Carmorn Cantona she is out of Frewstown Cone and comes from Derek Frew, of Antrim.
Carmorn Gaga (Lot 39), from Francis McAuley, sold for 7,200gns. Sired by Attirant she is out of Carmorn Diana and has a beef value of +34.
