Red Tractor launches barbecue meat campaign

Red Tractor has launched a new summer barbecue sticker campaign to drive awareness of its standards among consumers.
Pre-packed barbecue meat ranges in most retailers will feature prominent promotional logos from 27 April to 14 June.
The stickers will highlight that 100% of the meat and poultry is Red Tractor assured.

They will also give shoppers the chance to win tickets to a summer VIP barbecue party hosted by Red Tractor ambassador and Blur bass player Alex James (pictured) on his Cotswolds farm.
Weekly prizes of an “Outback” barbecue and daily prizes of barbecue cooking utensils and aprons will also be up for grabs.
Shoppers can win simply by purchasing a promotional pack and then entering online on the Red Tractor website.
“With the barbecue season about to get under way, it’s an ideal time to remind shoppers about the importance of choosing quality-assured Red Tractor ingredients,” said Red Tractor Assurance marketing manager Andy Thompson.
“The promotion will reinforce the message that the presence of the Red Tractor logo confirms that it has been produced to some of the most comprehensive and respected standards of food safety, hygiene and animal welfare in the world.”
Farmers have been urged to promote the campaign on Twitter using the hashtag #redtractorbbq
