In reserve was a British Lop gilt Balsham Sunshine 35 forward by Messrs M J Kiddy and Son. Commenting on his selection, judge Nick Hunkin, Somerset said: “the Saddleback was a smart young pig and showed and walked well. She had a deep body and enormous potential and just really shone. The British Lop also had good back legs and good hams and also stood out as an outstanding pig. It was a good high standard in the ring and was a hard class to judge.”
