3 top reasons to attend the NSA Sheep 2016 event

This year’s NSA Sheep event is being held next week on Wednesday 27 July at The Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire.

There are many reasons for producers to attend this biennial gathering, which is a highlight of the sheep farming calendar. Here are our top three.

1. Improve your business

To help producers cope with increasing market volatility this year’s theme of “adding value” promises a range of seminars, workshops and demonstrations outlining ways to better your business, whether it be improving genetics, seeking out new markets or making better use of grass and grazing.

2. Become a winner

Visitors can also take part in competitions, from stock judging to shepherding and watch others compete in fencing and lamb cookery challenges.

3. Snap up a sheepdog

The ever-popular sheepdog sales attract keen bidding from buyers who have travelled from across England and Wales to pick up a top performing farm dog as well as younger, part-trained dogs.

The event is free for NSA members and costs £15 for non-members. Gates open at 9am and close at 5pm.
