Stirling: Upsall herd leads Shorthorns at 25,000gns
Shorthorn trade topped at 25,000gns at Stirling on Monday (7 February) for a Broughton Park Thunder son from the North Yorkshire-based Upsall herd.
The eye-catching price came close to last year’s record-breaking 27,000gns sire from the Meonside herd, but was not enough to stop averages sliding slightly on the year from record levels.
The trade topper was from Gerald Turton, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, and was knocked down to John Scott and Partners, Tain, Ross-shire.
