Texel hoggs top Carlisle breeding sale at £94/head

A good entry of breeding sheep were forward for the Bank Holiday Monday sale at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.  Trade for all types was solid with plenty of customers in attendance.    Topping the sale at £94 per head was a pen of Texel hoggs with Beltex lambs at foot from Messrs Thompson, Anchor Farm.  Also at £94 per head (£282 per outfit) was a pen of Texel ewes with twin lambs at foot from Mr Joe Kidd, Briggle Farm.
