Tic Tac battle spurs Limousin bids

A two-way tic tac battle has pushed bids to 7000gns for the second of Martin Conway’s Craigatoke bulls at today’s Carlisle sale. Both bulls carried tremendous width and power about them and looked cheap on the day.

Taking the 7000gns call was Craigatoke Bomber, by Haltcliffe Underwriter and out of Craigatoke Redrose. Martin’s previous entry, Craigatoke Barty, just one lot before went to 4000gns.

John Burnett, Spittalton, also sold well, making 6000gns of Spittalton Baron just one lot before Barty. Three good bulls which may look cheap by the time the day is done….
