Welsh Blacks hit 14,000gns at Dolgellau

Welsh Black bulls were in demand at Dolgellau on Friday, with a top call of 14,000gns paid for the best from William Jones, Tywyn. This one was Ysguboriau Brenin 75, a 21.5 month old entry which stood champion in the pre-sale show. He sold to Emyr Jones, Nebo, Llanrwst.FW%20Welsh%20Black%20Show%20%26%20Sale%201.jpg

Next best at 11,000gns was Caerynwch Major 4, from  T W Williams, Dolgellau. This first prize winner from the show, he sold to the William Jones, breeder of the top priced animal.Then at 10,000gns was another from Mr Jones, Ysguboriau Llywelyn 49. This one sold to Messrs Williams, Tyddyn Bach, Llanfachreth.

And at 9000gns was Iwrch Limited Edition from Alun Vaughan, Nebo. He was bought by Dai Jones, Llanilar.

Making the next top of 8000gns was Seisiog Max 67 from Tecwyn and Janice Jones, Nebo. He sold to John Blackburn, Llangollen.

Selling for 6600gns was a thrid prize winner from the pre-sale show, Conwy Bob, from Gwyn Roberts, Colwyn Bay. This was bought by Messrs Jones, Nantlle.

And making 6000gns was the youngest bull in the yard, Caran Dewin from D Bennett Jenkins, Talybont. He was taken home by Gareth James, Tufton.

Topping the females offered was a 2050gns bid for in-calf heifer Nanthrhys Ebrill 20 from Dai Jones. She sold to Lleyn Leisure and Rural Services.
