Whiteford’s Texel x Beltex hit 1800gns

Last friday saw a cracking trade for the annual production sale of Texel cross and Texel x Beltex shearling rams and females on behalf of James and Thomas Whiteford, Tercrosset Farm, West Hall, Brampton at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.

An outstanding standard of sheep were presented to bidders from Scotland, England and Wales.

Sale leader was this shearling selling for 1800gns.

101 shearling rams sold to a top of 1,800gns and an overall average of £656.18.

91 Shearling gimmers sold to a top of 440gns and averaged 169.67.

32 Ewe lambs sold to a top of 220gns and averaged £109.13.
