GAUK launches auction search tool for cars and pickups

Auctions tend to provide unfussy buyers with a great chance to snap up a bargain, but finding out where they’re taking place and keeping track of the item you like can be hard work.

However, GAUK Motors launched a new website earlier this year that monitors auctioneers’ websites from across the UK and arranges the vehicles on one easy-to-search database.

Once registered, users can customise their feeds with preferred make and models, auction location and sale dates. The company says auctioneer websites are being added weekly and access to thousands of dealers are already available.

The system is aimed at both trade professionals and the public, and GAUK makes a bold claim that up to 40% can be saved by buying through its service.

Vehicle adverts on the site contain information from transmission types to mileage, but don’t yet show a guide price.

Our brief search showed that 66 Mitsubishi L200’s were registered for auction over a two-week period with auction locations identified on a Google map.
