Isuzu updates base-spec D-Max with new grille and rear diff-lock

Isuzu has completed some mild titivation to the exterior of its D-Max pickups, with new paint colour options, a restyled front grille and a broader range of alloy wheels for middling “All-Purpose” DL20 and DL40 models and the high-spec V-Cross.
The simple Utility still rolls on practical and durable steelies but, on 4×4 versions, now has the option of a rear differential lock.

Cloth seats are standard, while the DL20 gets more premium woven fabric and both the DL40 and V-Cross have leather upholstery.
The guts of the trucks remain as before, the highlights of which are a 1.9-litre engine tuned to 164hp, a towing capacity of 3.5t and a payload of just over 1t.
Spec of the DL20 (pictured) includes the aforementioned locking rear diff, 18in alloys, air conditioning, cruise control and rear parking sensors. The manual costs ÂŁ29,679 ex vat and the auto is ÂŁ31,179.
