Mitsubishi to return to the UK – new L200 pickup pending?

International Motors has announced plans to revive the Mitsubishi brand in the UK, with several new ranges set to go on sale next summer.

The Midlands-based importer hasn’t yet revealed which models it will be bringing in, but says it intends to focus on four-wheel drives.

This will likely include several family SUVs and, with any luck, the latest version of the L200 pickup – one of the firm’s biggest sellers prior to its withdrawal from European markets in 2021.

A return of the Shogun could also be in the offing.

IM Group took on Mitsubishi aftersales support following its UK departure, as well as selling Subaru, Isuzu and Great Wall Motors (GWM) vehicles.

The latter is another recent UK returnee, having launched the Poer300 pickup in late August.
