New Ssangyong Musso pickup sets sights on farming market

Ssangyong’s new Musso pickup promises to bring extra farming appeal – thanks to a 1t payload, Euro-pallet-sized load-bed and a 3t towing capacity.

Up front there’s a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine offering a maximum power of 178hp and 400Nm torque, which the company says is delivered from 1,400rpm to 2,800rpm.

The range includes two models, starting with the SE. It comes with a new-look front grille and dashboard, plus silver 18in alloy wheels. It is priced from £15,995.

Higher-spec EX versions are supplied with black 18in alloy wheels, roof rails, front LED daytime running lights, automatic air conditioning and a 7in touchscreen. The EX with manual transmission is priced at £17,995, while the six-speed automatic costs £18,995.
