Prices revealed for beefed-up Isuzu D-Max AT35

Isuzu has released the prices for its range-topping D-Max AT35, which has been developed in conjunction with pickup modification specialist Arctic Trucks.
Shod on chunky 35in tyres and armed with a new “performance” suspension system, the pumped-up D-Max has some 266mm of ground clearance at the front and 290mm at the rear – increasing the lift by 50mm over the standard model.

The body kit consists of extra-wide wheel arch extensions, strengthened Arctic Trucks mudguards and a multifunction receiver hitch, which can be fitted with a tow bar or winch.
However, there’s no change to the 1.9-litre, 164hp engine – which might be something of a moot point for potential buyers.
The D-Max AT35 received a five-star NCAP rating, which is an apparent UK first for a pickup and something Isuzu attributes to its advanced driver assist system.
The system includes collision, lane departure, and traffic sign recognition warnings, along with automatic emergency braking, and is a standard feature for the model.
As with all of its trucks, Isuzu is offering a five-year or 125,000 mile warranty for the AT35, for which order books have just opened.
It’s available with automatic transmission from £49,499, or as a manual from £47,999.
