Truckman unveils ‘mega drawer’ for pickup load beds
Pickup owners willing to go to reasonable expense to keep their load beds tidy might find themselves tempted by Truckman’s second-generation Decked drawer system.
It’s the latest item in the firm’s vast range of truck accessories, featuring a single plastic “mega drawer” that slots between the wheel arches and below a heavy-duty false floor.

Though there are no dedicated compartments, owners can customise the 119x91cm tray by fitting various toolboxes and stash bins, of which Truckman offers a wide array.
There are also built-in tie-downs to secure cargo in place, and non-slip rubber mats to ensure it doesn’t slide about in transit.
The drawer is secured by locking the pickup tailgate and is completely weatherproof, so needn’t be protected by a hardtop or tonneau cover.
The tray itself is rated to carry up to 181kg, while the full-width deck above it is good for 454kg.
Installation is relatively simple and the whole lot can be removed in 15mins, with the handful of holes required for fitment plugged by rubber grommets.
The kit is compatible with spray-in bed liners but not plastic ones, so these will need removing first.
It is priced at £1,404 (ex-VAT) and fits newish Mitsubishi L200s and Nissan Navaras, Ford Rangers built since 2012, new VW Amaroks and Isuzu D-Maxes from 2021 onwards.
