Wilderness Lighting offers numberplate-mounted escort boards

Bedfordshire-based Wilderness Lighting has developed a quick-to-fit wide load warning kit for escort vehicles.
For £155, buyers get a 79x10cm high-vis front board that, handily, attaches via the existing numberplate screws of the host car or pickup.
As well as the lairy red and yellow chevrons, it comes with two of the firm’s amber Hazard 24 LED strobes.

It’s possible to hardwire these into the vehicle’s switchgear, but most buyers will be content with plugging them into a standard 12V power supply and using the small remote control provided to turn them on and off.
Buyers can also specify the wording on the front – wide load, escort vehicle, and such like – up to a limit of 15 characters.
