Adam Hewitt Ltd excels in its brand-new machinery yard

We were established in 1946 after World War II when my father opened a body repair business called John Hewitt Garages, and we now have over 70 years experience in the Motor and Agricultural Salvage Industry.

After operating out of its old yard on the Worcester Road in Harvington for almost a decade, Adam Hewitt Ltd has a new home in Worcestershire.

Now based on Sandy Lane Industrial Estate, Barracks Road, it continues to change the game in the agri plant salvage industry.

The Stourport site was formerly used by a few different companies, most recently as a storage compound for new vehicles from a well-known car manufacturer.

This gave it all the characteristics to make a perfect new yard for AHL, such as external and internal storage facilities, an area for washing and valeting, a larger office block for its growing workforce, and much-needed loading areas for customers and the company’s fleet of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).

Thanks to this increased capacity, AHL now holds two auctions a week on its website, with the usual Tuesday auction complemented by a brand-new Thursday auction.

The resulting higher stock turnover has enabled the company to secure new contracts to diversify its weekly catalogues even further.

The move has also allowed it to address the demands of the digital age by growing its presence on social media.

With a fundamental following already established on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), it has now ventured into the world of Instagram and TikTok through quirky reels and videos that advertise its upcoming lots to existing customers as well as potential new ones.

While this move may not be a forever home, it will allow AHL much-needed time to get a permanent state-of-the-art site ready for action.

So be sure to keep up to date with the company on its website and all its social media channels.
