Agritechnica 2011: Kuhn Krause Dominator

Kuhn’s purchase of Kansas cultivator maker Krause earlier this year has given it some heavy-duty cultivations firepower.
The widest version of this Krause Dominator disc and heavy tine cultivator weighs in at 10t, requires 500hp of tractor power and has a 6m (20ft) working width. However this version won’t be appearing on UK fields for a while because its 4.5m road width exceeds what’s allowed on British tarmac. A better bet for UK farmers is probably the new Kuhn 6m NCR folding power harrow drill combination. Once folded, the combination has a road regs-friendly transport width of 2.85m.It also has the firm’s Seedflex coulter bar, with double discs working on a parallel linkage system and large diameter press wheels that give ground pressures up to 45 kg per unit.
