French maker Manitou has unveiled a new MLT 840 telehandler aimed at large arable contractors.

It offers buyers a 4t load capacity – higher than previous machines – and a lift height of 7.55m.

The standard model that will be available in the UK is the Elite, with a Tier 3b four cylinder John Deere engine offering 137hp.

This model also includes manual and automatic M-shift transmission, making the MLT 840 comfortable on the road and in the yard, according to the company. It’s due to go on sale in spring 2012.
