Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland farmer Albert O’Neill has come up with simple, non-hydraulic way of keeping hold of fertiliser bags after you’ve emptied them.

As the two 600kg bags slide on to the lifting forks, they push a pair of arms that bring down a frame on top of them. That stops the bags from sliding off once the fertiliser has been emptied out. 

 Lowering the frame activates a pin underneath that releases the top frame and allows the bags to be dropped where needed.
