Alternative spares range from Deere
JOHN DEERE is to provide a range of spare parts for all other tractor makes, parts which it claims are, in some cases, superior in quality to the original.
This alternative range will be marketed under the new PartsCountry banner, which claims to have 94 distributors world wide and 16,000 parts in its warehouses.
Over 15% of John Deere”s UK turnover is generated by the sales of spare parts – about 33m a year.
No surprise, then, that the company puts great importance on not only perpetuating this volume of sales, but also looks to increase it.
UK boss Alec McKee, speaking at the company”s biennial dealer convention held in Phoenix, Arizona, says dealers should now be in a position to provide a complete service to its farming customers.
“Dealers should no longer be seen as just one-brand operations in terms of the spare parts service they can provide.”
