ATVtrac offers lower cost Lite vehicle-tracking system

ATVtrac has launched a Lite version of its vehicle-tracking system for buyers happy to forego a few features in return for a keener price.

It offers largely identical security provisions, as it uses the same GPS and radio frequency setup as the full-fat offering to alert owners to vehicle movements via smartphone alerts, text and email.

And buyer’s still have access to the firm’s 24-hour “secure operating centre”, which means they’ll receive a call should the system register an unexpected movement.

Staff will confirm whether the asset is missing, then liaise with local police to pinpoint its exact location and arrange its recovery.

This slimmed down version costs £215 – or £249 fitted – which includes a year’s subscription, after which owners will be billed £4.99 a month.

In contrast, the full-function asset tracker costs £332 and £8.33 a month.

For that, buyers get access to real-time map views and the ability to set up a geofence, track and manage journeys, and view service history records.

Both versions are suitable for covert installation on a range of machinery, including ATVs, 4x4s, woodchippers and trailers.
