Corvus shrinks its diesel-powered Terrain UTV with new DX4s
© Corvus With an 800cc three-cylinder Yanmar motor shoehorned into its chassis, the new Terrain DX4s is a rare beast – an oil-burning compact farm buggy.
It’s an addition to the Terrain line-up from Spanish manufacturer Corvus, joining the 993cc 24hp diesel-fuelled DX4 and its all-electric cousin. A petrol-fuelled version is also in development.

The diesel newcomer is aimed at farmers, gamekeepers and others prepared to trade a noisier ride for better fuel economy and fuel-filling convenience, and who don’t need the greater carrying capacity of a full-size UTV.
Shorter and narrower
Compared with the Terrain DX4, the mini-me “s” version is 764mm shorter and a tad over 200mm narrower.
And, at 700kg, it’s 64kg trimmer in terms of its weight before anyone climbs aboard or chucks anything into the 870mm long, 1,230mm wide tipping cargo box.
This steel structure is rated at 250kg versus the 450kg of its larger sibling, but its fixed sides and tethered over-centre latched tailboard are just as deep, at 300mm.
Similarities between the two include selectable two- and four-wheel drive from an automatic CVT transmission, a rear axle diff lock, and MacPherson strut suspension all round.
All variants have electric power steering as standard, two individual seats and several iterations of equipment level and cab enclosure – from wind-in-your-hair to fully enclosed with glazing and heating.
Having parted company with distributor Boss ORV earlier this year, Corvus is now supplying its UK dealers direct.
