Bargains galore at prison farm kit dispersal
The recent dispersal sale at HMP Frankely near Birmingham is one of many sales taking place across the country to disperse machinery from prison farms.
The day, run by Bagshaws Auctioneers, Uttoxeter, attracted a large crowd travelling from as far afield as the Isle of Sheppey in Kent.
Highlights of the day’s trade included an A-registered New Holland 8070 combine topping 10,050 for export to Pakistan. A Ford 8210 went under the hammer for 7600 while other tractors fetched between 1220 and 5650.
Two Salop 22ft bale trailers realised 940 each and a Boythorpe vacuum-tanker sold for 460.
