Need a sub-100hp tractor for routine duties on a livestock unit?  There’s plenty of choice to suit all budgets, explains Peter Hill.

Sales of 80-100hp tractors may be in steady decline as farms move up the power scale but they are still widely used on stock farms.

From the most basic models with a simple 12×4 transmission to those sporting a power shuttle, multi-speed powershift and high-performance hydraulics, the choice of build specifications is big.
