Bobcat may be best known for its skidsteers, but the arrival of its TL470HF telehandler suggests the company is expanding its presence in the higher-hp market.
It’s a higher-power version of the existing TL470 handler and tops off a range of models that start with the T2250 compact model.

Power comes from a Deutz 120hp engine, top speed is 40kph and a new load-sensing pump delivers an oil flow of 190 litres/min. Maximum lift is 3.5t and maximum height is 7m.
Meanwhile, load capacity at full lift is 3t and maximum forward reach is 4m, while lift capacity at full reach is 1,500kg.
A new asymmetric design means the right hand rear corner of the cab is free of visibility-blocking stuff, says the company, and an optional all-glass door increases is said to give good visibility to the left side of the machine.
The machine is made in north-west France in what was the Sambron plant. Bobcat (which was bought by Korean giant Doosan in 2007) has about 20 dealers in the UK.
