Bron tracked mulchers tackle heavy-duty farmland reclamation
Bron 310 mulcher runs on steel tracks © Bron Canadian heavy equipment manufacturer RWF Bron has shipped its first land reclamation mulcher to Britain under a distribution and product support agreement with Devon-based Conagri.
Weighing in at around 13t, the Bron 310 self-propelled mulcher will be installed in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, where Cross Civils and Construction will deploy the machine clearing harvested forestry plantations across the Scottish Highlands.

The operator gets to work seated on an air-suspension chair in a pressurised cab that tilts forward to reveal access to the drivetrain, while the power unit and hydraulics are encased in all-enveloping body panels.
A 6.7-litre Cummins QSB diesel engine pumps out 310hp to power the machine’s front-mounted flail mulching head, as well as the steel oscillating track assemblies via single joystick-controlled hydrostatic drive.
And if that’s not enough power for ambitious operators, buyers can always opt for Bron’s 450hp model.
