Caernarvon investigated

TRADING STANDARDS officers are investigating the biggest farmer-owned creamery in Wales over claims that it sold imported cheese as Welsh.

Richard Elmit, managing director of at Chwiliog, said the company was co-operating fully with what was an on-going investigation.

He added that labels had been changed to “stop customers getting the wrong impression”.

SCC supplies dairy products to many high street outlets, including Marks & Spencers.
