Abrey Agricultural is best-known for its giant Austrian Biso combine headers, but had something rather different on its stand at Cereals.

These Canadian-made combine discharge auger extenders give about 1.2m (5ft) of extra length, which allows the tractor and trailer to get well clear of the combine and – often just as importantly – straddle the straw swath.

The extra length of auger is welded to the end of the existing one and there’s an anti-dribble flap that stops that annoying small trickle of grain when the tank’s almost empty. Cost is £1400.
